What We Collect
Email Addresses
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address in Cloudflare Workers KV. We use it only to send the GearScope weekly digest. We never sell, share, or rent your email to third parties.
Skill Suggestions
If you suggest a skill for review, we store the skill name, optional URL, and optional email. This data is used only to evaluate and prioritize reviews.
Analytics
We run a privacy-first analytics system. We collect anonymous page views, scroll depth, and outbound click counts. We do not use cookies, fingerprinting, or third-party tracking scripts. No Google Analytics. No Meta Pixel. Nothing that follows you across the web.
The data we collect: page URL, referrer domain, timestamp, and whether you scrolled past 25/50/75/100% of a page. That is it. We cannot identify you from this data.
Tips and Payments
If you send a crypto tip via our NOWPayments integration, the transaction is processed entirely by NOWPayments. We receive your payment but do not store your wallet address, IP, or payment details on our servers. See NOWPayments' privacy policy for their data handling.
What We Do Not Collect
- No cookies (except Cloudflare's bot protection, which we do not control)
- No third-party tracking
- No personal identification beyond what you voluntarily provide
- No account creation or passwords
Cloudflare
Our site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses Cloudflare Workers for the API. Cloudflare may log IP addresses and request metadata as part of their DDoS protection and CDN services. We do not access these logs. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Third-Party Links
Our review pages link to external sites (GitHub, npm, skill registries). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We do not append tracking parameters to outbound links.
Your Rights
You can request deletion of your email or suggestion data at any time. . We will remove it within 48 hours. (Prefer email? reviews@gearscope.xyz.)
Changes
We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
